Hartington Public Library, located at 106 S Broadway,mission of the Hartington Public Library is to provide lifelong education and information, to enlighten and enrich the lives of its users.

• To keep up with our patron’s technology needs.
• Meet the informational needs of our users, providing resources and materials in a variety of formats.
• Be an active part of the community.
• To provide a safe atmosphere to our patrons, especially to children.

• All library cards for Hartington and Cedar County residents are available free of charge. Children must be 7 years of age before a library card is issued. Children between the ages of 7-14 are required to have parent or guardian signature. A one-time $40 fee will be charged to those residing outside of Cedar County.
