Senior Center

The Hartington Senior Citizen Center, located at 112 West Main Street, provides activities including cards, bingo, crafts and occasional tours. The Senior Center provides meals on wheels. Meals are provided Monday–Friday. For more information, call (402) 254-6698.

Food Pantry

The Cedar County food pantry provides assistance with food to residents of Cedar County. For more information, contact the city at (402) 254-6353.

Transit

The Cedar County transit provides transportation to all residents of Cedar County. Handicap accessible vehicles with a wheelchair ramp are available. Call Monday through Friday from 8 AM5 PM to schedule your ride. For more information, contact Nikki Pinkelman (402) 640-6147.

Note—The transit is closed for all major holidays and may close due to inclement weather. We travel all roads in Cedar County if deemed travelable, based on driver’s discretion on road condition.

Haven House

Haven House offers crisis intervention and prevention services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The Haven House is located at the Cedar County Courthouse and open the 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. For more information, call 1-800-440-4633.

Cedar County Cares Giving Tree

Cedar County Cares Giving Tree provides Christmas gifts to families who cannot provide or would financially struggle to provide gifts for their children. This program is open to all residents of Cedar County for children from birth to high school senior. For more information, contact cccgivingtree@gmail.com.
